Orbweb.ME is a cutting-edge personal cloud solution that transforms your spare computer into a secure and accessible personal cloud storage device, while also converting your webcam into a surveillance camera.
Orbweb.ME transforms your spare computer into a personal cloud and surveillance camera, offering three features - File Explorer, Remote Desktop, and Webcam - which pose a challenge for creating a consistent user experience across web, iOS, and Android devices.
Orbweb.ME, a cloud service, was initially developed by engineers without proper product planning and a user-friendly experience. In 2014, the concept of IoT and personal cloud services was still new, making it difficult for users to understand the benefits. The new version of Orbweb.ME aims to improve the user experience by learning from established brands.

Enhance Motion Detection Notifications
User needs to be able to identify the live streaming and have the ability to capture a screenshot, record the live video and set motion detection on the interface.
The interface (A) should clearly display that it's a live streaming and the user should be able to access the recorded playback (B) seamlessly.
Ease of use is crucial, thus, action buttons should be easily accessible on the interface (C).
To address the need for seamless playback of recorded video and efficient navigation, a design inspired by popular platforms such as YouTube, Dropbox, and Dropcam is proposed.
The vertical scrolling feature allows users to quickly access the latest recorded files, while horizontal scrolling facilitates the switching of different months and years.
Tab design further streamlines the classification of different types of recordings.
The motion detection feature in the application allows users to monitor their premises and receive notifications whenever any activity occurs.
Upon activating the motion detection, the system takes a snapshot and sends an email notification to the user, based on the sensitivity level set in the application settings.
This ensures that the user is kept informed and aware of any activity at all times, providing peace of mind and enhanced security.

Inspired by the Youtube app video controller, most of the action buttons will be hidden under a "More Actions" button.
Upon clicking the button, the overlay and control buttons will be displayed.
In cases where the user has connected multiple webcams, the header should clearly indicate the camera name and allow for instant switching between cameras.
